Mike Muldowney is a Director of Warren Whitney and brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, interim management, and executive leadership. He has hands-on expertise with mergers and acquisitions through the purchase, growth, and sale of his own companies. Mike works with clients overseeing finance and accounting functions, performing financial analyses, improving operational efficiencies, and developing and implementing business strategies. He typically serves our clients as interim or fractional CFO/ Controller. He brings perspective from working in both the nonprofit and private sectors.

Mike joins Warren Whitney after eight years of independent consulting. His work has ranged from helping clients reach their revenue growth goals to navigating through financial distress. He co-founded Direct Impressions, a direct mail printing company. For over 15 years, he served as their Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He played a key role in the company’s growth, from $2.8 million in annual revenues to $23+ million. He established cost-control initiatives, creating a foundation for scalability and strong financial management. During his time at Direct Impressions, he also oversaw the acquisition of a printing firm based in Pittsburgh. He played a critical role in the firm’s change management and growth strategy, ultimately leading to negotiating the profitable sale of the business.
